Se nel 2008 era stata la sola penisola ad essere indagata, ora ad essere coinvolti sono i paesi dell’area Euro, cioè quegli stati che stanno concretamente realizzando l’unione utopica del continente europeo, anche attraverso una moneta unica. Secondo tali premesse sono stati selezionati, su invito dei due curatori, Andrea Bruciati e Walter Gasperoni, 68 artisti in rappresentanza di 16 paesi: Austria, Belgio, Cipro, Finlandia, Francia, Germania, Grecia, Irlanda, Italia, Lussemburgo, Malta, Paesi Bassi, Portogallo, Slovacchia, Slovenia, Spagna. L’invito ha tenuto conto sia dell’età anagrafica, sotto i 35 anni, che della ricerca qualitativa dei singoli artisti interpellati, in modo tale da fornire un panorama esaustivo e stimolante per una riflessione sulla scena artistica emergente del continente. La mostra tenta pertanto di superare l’idea di genius loci per sostituirlo ad una dimensione fattiva glocal, in previsione del superamento di qualsiasi barriera da un lato e il recupero della propria specificità antropologica dall’altro. In quanto zona di transito, la città di Ancona si pone pertanto quale centro di sperimentazione e punto di incontro fra culture, ritenendo le arti visive un medium fondamentale per tale metodologia di ricognizione. May 9, 2010 The Marche Region, because of its central location between Northern Europe and the Mediterranean, has devised a forth year project with the aim of initiating an investigation into the artistic expression of the new generation of artists and the whole cultural area. If in 2008 year the focus was on Italy, at this time the project involves the countries of the Euro area, that is, those states that are actually carrying out the utopian union of the European continent, including adopting a single currency. According to these premises 68 artists were selected by two curators, Andrea Bruciati and Walter Gasperoni, representing the following 16 countries: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain. The invitation took into account both the age (under 35) and the qualitative research of individual artists. They were selected in such a way as to provide an exhaustive and stimulating panorama that reflects the art scene emerging on the continent. The exhibition tries therefore to overcome the idea of genius loci and replace it with an effective glocal dimension, in anticipation of overcoming any barrier on one side and the recovery of its anthropological specificity on the other. As an aesthetic transit zone, the city of Ancona is a center of experimentation and the meeting point between cultures, and considers the visual arts as a fundamental medium for this means of recognition.
